During the school holidays, Sophia (aged 7) and Skylar (aged 2) visited Fun Drum at Elm Court, Gillingham. Located on a business park, Fun Drum provides ample free onsite car parking for visitors.
It was a great way to wear out little Skylar, as after the 2 hour session she was fast asleep by the time she got home!

On arrival, we were greeted by a friendly receptionist, who explained to us before admission the health and safety measures before escorting us to our designated table (No.6). It is worth taking a pair of socks with you if you are visiting in sandals, as you do need to wear these to enter the play zones.
There are lockers available at no cost for customers to store their valuables in (which is extremely handy if you don't have another adult with you).
When ordering any food and drinks at the onsite cafe, the staff will bring your order to your designated table when ready. There's a full menu available (all reasonably priced), from snacks, meals and hot and cold drinks.
There are three separate play areas to choose from:
The first level is for ages up to 23 months, with the second level for ages 2 to 5 years, and the much larger one for ages 6 plus. Skylar really enjoyed the second level, where she could play in the ball pit, climb around and slide down. She had such a great time, she didn't want to leave!
Adult supervision is advised at all times.

Sophia enjoyed the challenges of the large play zone, where she could play hide and seek with other children she met there around her own age range. Climbing the rope bridges and sliding down the 'drop slide' was great fun.
We also enjoyed riding the electric quad bikes that only cost £1 a go.
The other rides the girls enjoyed were the carousel, the Mr. Bus ride, and travelling in Pepa Pig's car. It's worth taking a few £1 coins as it's £1 a go, or in some cases, 3 rides for £2.
The centre prides itself on hygiene, and between sessions the equipment and tables are cleansed.
This was Sophia's second visit to Fun Drum, as previously she had been there for a party. Fun Drum party packages include not only the food and drink, but you can select a package of interest, whether this be Laser Tag, Face Painting or exclusive hire of the venue.
